Grades 35 Resource Room Educator

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records.
  
  


• Assess student performance and adjust teaching strategies to promote academic growth.
  
  


• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress with the school team.
  
  


• Reinforce grade-level concepts and adapt instructional materials to support diverse learners.
  
  


• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ learning needs and IEP goals.
  
  


• Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  
  


• Strong teaching, classroom management, and organizational abilities.
  
  


• Previous experience in a school-based special education setting preferred.
  
  


• Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and school personnel.
  
  


• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement.
