Description of Work
The College of Architecture is looking for someone who will serve as an energetic and engaged member of the College's Student Success team, providing graduate and professional student recruitment and marketing for the College of Architecture. The Graduate Recruiter focuses on recruitment efforts, provides college counseling to prospective students, assists with campus visits and represents the College of Architecture at on and off-campus events. Responsibilities also include partnering with graduate admissions, alumni and other organizations; coordinating recruitment efforts with Student Success team, Communications Director and Program Directors; and assisting with development of marketing materials. Some travel and evening/weekend work will be required.

The primary responsibility of this position is to increase masters-level enrollment at the College of Architecture by using recruiting strategies to enroll domestic and international students. Additionally, the Graduate Recruiter will assist in implementing a new recruiting effort - Huskers Helping Huskers. This new initiative will connect alumni and current students in a professional network creating long-lasting, impactful experiences that will influence our students' professional development over time. Ultimately, the Graduate Recruiter works with the Student Success Director, Program Directors and Dean to successfully devise and implement the strategic enrollment plan for the college. The incumbent in this position will report directly to the Student Success Director.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Design-related field plus 6 months of experience in recruitment or marketing.
Must have demonstrated ability to work with diverse student backgrounds necessary.
Must have ability to work as an effective team member, as well as being a capable self-starter.
Must have demonstrated competency in common office technology software systems.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, writing skills, organization/time management skills and computer skills.
Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree preferred. Knowledge of UNL preferred. Knowledge of InDesign helpful.
Experience working with students and/or communications/recruitment preferred.
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills helpful.
Detail oriented and highly organized skills preferred. Ability to multi-task and work independently desirable.
