Graduate Resident Nurse, Medical Surgical Cardiothoracic Surgery, 36 hours, Day/Night Rotation - Dec

6 East is a 22 Telemetry Bed unit specializing in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery patient populations. With a vision of healing hearts without skipping a beat, our team provides exceptional care to patients with a variety of cardiac, pulmonary, and vascular conditions. This population of patients includes pre and post CABG, Heart Valve surgery, Septal Myectomy, Aneurysm Repair, Thoracotomy, Femoral-Popliteal bypass and other acute cardiothoracic and vascular conditions. Our team includes a great group of Heathcare professionals committed to the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our patients.

Job Description:

 

Education

·       Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing.

·       Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

 

Licensure, Certification, Registration

·       Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration; graduating nursing students must provide NCLEX registration documentation when eligible.

·       American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate

 

Experience

·       0-1 years related work experience required.

·       Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

 

Skills & Abilities

·       Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and technical knowledge to provide care for patients according to Nursing Policy and Procedures.

·       Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and knowledge to provide care for patients according to the unit-specific competencies.

·       Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Pay Range:

$37.00 - $95.37

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
