Grain Operations

Description

The Grain Operations position performs the day-to-day grain elevator tasks while maintaining a positive and safety-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Paint grain equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and repair grain facility equipment
• Adhere to safety policies
• Maintain the grounds; mowing, weed eating, etc.
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Basic mechanical and maintenance knowledge
• Ability to operate equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals
• Ability to follow established processes.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks 
• Ability to work from elevated platforms
• Desire to learn

Education:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Experience in agriculture environment or farm preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, or walk for prolonged periods of time
• Able to sit, bend, climb ladders, and reach over head
• Able to hear effectively on a phone and, or radio 
• Able to lift 50+ pounds
