Job Title: Grant Specialist (Onsite) – Contract to Hire
Client: AZDEMA
Location: 5636 E McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85008
Duration: 6 Months (Contract to Hire)
Rate: $27/hr on W2 (All Inclusive) or $28/hr on 1099
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Closing Date: 08/27/2025 at 3:00 PM
Position Overview
AZDEMA is seeking a Grant Specialist to provide comprehensive management and financial oversight of State and Federal grant programs. This role involves managing awarded grants, processing financial reimbursements, and assisting Emergency Management staff in developing competitive grant applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned grant projects and ensure accurate financial reimbursements.
- Provide financial tracking, billing, auditing, and invoicing support.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external applicants to prepare and submit grant applications.
- Conduct reviews to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and agency guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and organized grant documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a financial field (billing, auditing, expenses, invoicing).
- Proven experience managing grants and financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience performing compliance checks for grants or financial programs.
- Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
