Friends of Leaps & Bounds is a 501c3 non-profit organization serving people with disabilities though the magic of the horse! In partnership with Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy, we strive to help our clients reach their maximum potential and believe in treating the whole family. We serve individuals from all over the Inland Empire (and beyond) who are at risk for, or who have difficulty participating in typical, age-appropriate activities. Our highly skilled staff specialize in pediatrics but can assist all individuals with their therapeutic and recreational needs. We are an organization aimed at helping all individuals grow by leaps and bounds!

Friends of Leaps & Bounds is looking for a part-time grant writer!

Responsibilities:

• Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
• Write compelling and tailored grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data.
• Maintain a calendar of deadlines and ensure timely submission of applications.
• Track submitted proposals and follow up as needed.
• Assist in reporting requirements for awarded grants.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
• Ability to understand and articulate program goals and outcomes.
• Familiarity with fundraising databases and grant tracking tools is a plus.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines independently.
