About Us

The North Carolina Community College System (System Office) is a statewide network of 58 public community colleges. The system enrolls over 500,000 students annually. It is the 3rd largest in the nation based on the number of colleges. It also provides data to the North Carolina Learning Object Repository by collecting, contributing, and sharing digital learning resources for use in traditional or distance learning environments. Description of Work

SALARY RANGE: $47,703 – $67,000
This position provides advanced technical assistance, comprehensive administrative oversight, and fiscal stewardship of multi‑site programmatic and financial activities for the More Than A Job NC (MTAJ-NC) program.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (KSA’s are now considered management preferences) (5 KSA’S are suggested)

  • Review, analyze, and approve budget revisions, expenditures, invoices, and financial reports with a high degree of accuracy and in accordance with federal, state, and local grant requirements.
  • Knowledge of fiscal compliance standards, including allowable costs, procurement requirements, documentation expectations, and reporting obligations, with the skill to provide advanced technical guidance to internal and external partners.
  • Skilled in conducting comprehensive monitoring activities, including risk assessments, onsite and virtual monitoring visits, and programmatic and fiscal reviews to ensure adherence to grant and performance requirements.
  • Knowledge of process development and improvement strategies, with the ability to design, implement, and refine standardized procedures, workflows, and tools aligned with federal, state, and local grant regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to support strategic planning efforts, ensure data integrity, promote funding sustainability, and advance continuous improvement within the MTAJ‑NC program.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution and 1 year of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
