Exciting Opportunity: Grants and Contracts Coordinator
Overview:
Under the supervision of the Chief Compliance Officer, the Grants and Contracts Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals and reports that support IHC’s strategic goals and mission. This person serves as the primary grant manager, engages in compliance reporting, and contract and MOU development, management and special project initiatives. This position requires strong writing, data analysis, and project management skills, with an emphasis on outcome measurement.
Grant Proposals:
Prepare and organize materials for proposals, and submitting and monitoring grant applications
Identifying and researching funding opportunities aligned with IHC’s mission and strategic initiatives.
Drafting proposals/Letters of Intent, grant application narratives
Submitting grant applications via online portals, and maintaining IHC’s credentials in those portals as necessary
Maintaining master calendar of grants and prospects and all associated files
Maintaining library of grant support documents including budgets, audited financial statements, 990s, Board/staff lists, etc.
Executing acknowledgement letters and facilitating grant contracts and agreements
Compliance and Reporting:
Monitoring and maintaining funder reporting schedules and requirements including HRSA
Tracking progress toward organizational and programmatic outcomes and goals;
Creating progress reports and targeted program updates for presentation to Executive Leadership Team and the IHC BOD
Assembling all necessary supporting materials and documents including budget reports, outcome measurements, success stories, etc.; submitting reports to funders
Researching statistics, trends and data for grant proposals as needed
Contracts Management:
Review of contracts/MOUs to ensure all elements are addressed to meet compliance with HRSA requirements
Creation and maintenance of standard contracts and MOUs that include all required elements ensuring compliance with HRSA requirements
Creating and maintaining a contracts/MOU library
Monitoring contracts/MOUs for expiration and notifying responsible department 90 days in advance of expiration
Monitoring regulatory changes and making necessary changes to contracts/MOUs to stay in compliance
Collaborate with ELT and Directors to ensure contracts and MOUs are executed in a timely manner
Performance Requirements
Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills experience as well as superior editing skills, including ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience
Strong administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality
Strong presentation skills

Requirements
Education: HS diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in business or related field preferred; experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Experience: Five or more years of experience in grant writing, grants management, and/or contract management.
Expert level skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
