Description
The Coordinator position is primarily responsible for carrying out all activities required to submit quality grant applications to foundations, corporations, and government entities. This includes, but is not limited to, researching potential funders, thoroughly reviewing Requests for Proposals for fit with agency ministries, writing compelling narrative responses, compiling and justifying budgets, and submitting complete applications to meet deadlines. The incumbent is also responsible for logging grant writing activity, including monitoring awarded contracts and assisting with monthly reporting. This position is a member of the Development team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in English or Technical Writing, but also may be considered from social services, etc. With at least two (2) years of grant writing preferred. Experience with social service programs is a plus. Exceptional writing, analytical, and researching skills are critical.
Must be proficient with computer and technical/web skills and have experience working with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, and PowerPoint. Prefer experience with Web-Based Project Management Software. Must possess a valid Florida drivers’ license and have a clean driving record.

Ability to communicate effectively. Confidentiality is essential. Ability to read and analyze correspondence and compose appropriate responses utilizing others in the organization when appropriate. Ability to respond to common inquiries from regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present verbal and written information to constituencies and public groups.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
The working hours of this position are not limited to an 8-hour day. Must be able to use basic office computer hardware and peripherals. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
