Job Description - Grants Manager

Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas

Recovery Resource Council is seeking a full-time Grants Manager with expertise in government grants to join our Development Team. The Grants Manager manages the agency’s grant activity under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer and serves as a key liaison between the agency and funders, managing the full grant lifecycle for non-governmental funding—including research, proposal writing, submission, and reporting—and collaborating with program directors on government grants (local, state, federal). This role also coordinates with supplemental grant writers and government grant activities, ensuring clear communication and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Own full grant lifecycle for non-governmental grants; collaborate on government grant submissions
Secure program updates, outcomes, and financial data with program staff and Accounting
Maintain master calendar of grant deadlines and documentation
Build relationships with funders and coordinate site visits
Monitor compliance and prepare timely, compelling funder reports
Conduct funding research and support proposal development
Maintain organized grant files and support presentations
Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
Minimum 3 years grant writing and administration experience, government grants preferred
Strong writing, editing, organizational, and project management skills
Knowledge of federal, state, and local grants; familiarity with North Texas funders a plus
Proficient with Microsoft 365; experience with CRM/donor databases beneficial
Understanding of nonprofit financial and grant reporting practices
Valid Texas driver’s license and auto insurance required
Results-driven, detail-oriented, collaborative, and mission-focused

Additional Information:

Hybrid remote position with occasional in-person work and local travel
Salary range: $72,000–$77,000
