West Texas Counseling & Guidance (WTCG) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization working to ensure that individuals and families seeking mental health treatment should have access to counseling services, regardless of their socioeconomic status and ability to pay. Our mission is to enable individuals and families to reach their full potential in body, mind, and spirit, using evidence-based counseling and educational services. Services offered by WTCG include individual therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, premarital counseling, couples and family counseling, veteran services, children's play therapy, and anger management.
Position Overview
The Grants Specialist plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s grant-seeking and funding strategy. This position supports the full grant lifecycle—from identifying funding opportunities and developing proposals to managing awards and completing closeout activities—while helping to strengthen relationships with funders.
This role is essential in ensuring the organization secures and manages funding in alignment with its mission and strategic priorities.
The ideal candidate combines strong writing, research, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate across departments. This position is well-suited for individuals with experience in grant writing, research, nonprofit development, program coordination, or public sector funding. A high level of attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in documentation and reporting is critical to success in this role.
A flexible and proactive approach is required to meet deadlines and organizational needs. Employees must handle sensitive financial and programmatic information with discretion. Regular and reliable attendance is required.
