Job Summary: The Grant Specialist supports the financial administration of grant-funded programs by ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with funder requirements. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role assists with budget monitoring, expense review, cost allocation, and preparation of financial reports. The Grant Specialist collaborates with program and finance staff to maintain proper documentation, support audits, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in grant-funded environments.

Essential Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:
• Daily monitoring of PIHCs bank accounts to mitigate fraud
• Daily processing of Positive Pay (confirming the legitimacy of withdrawals) on all UCBI accounts
• Authorized representative to communicate with the bank regarding bank accounts and credit cards
• Manage all aspects of the Ryan White grants
• Review invoice documentation for accuracy
• Post Ryan White Accounts Receivables in Accounting Software
• Reconcile grants General Ledger and enter adjusting journal entries in accounting software as needed
• Meet monthly with Program Directors to discuss spending and staffing patterns on Ryan White grants
• Inventory count for checks related to bank accounts
• Attend required Ryan White Site Visits as PIHC's fiscal representative
• Attend required Ryan White Technical Assistance workshops and Providers Meetings
• Provide accounting schedules and provide departmental support as requested by management.
• Ensures strict confidentiality of all work and information, based on PIHC’s policies and procedures
Summary of General Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:
• Maintain grant expenditures with internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare and present financial progress reports with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain confidentiality and perform other duties to support the Finance Department’s efficiency.
• Various accounting related tasks
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and 2+ years of experience in a financial accounting role.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of Non-Profit Accounting Preferred.
