Responsibilities
Conducts and/or reviews research and needs assessments related to various issues impacting safer and healthier learning environments in school communities through the implementation of programs to support safe and healthy students under section 4108 of the ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act).
Composes, revises, and advises FDOE (Florida Department of Education) leadership on technical assistance papers, reports, correspondence, website content, applications, surveys and other resources pertaining to Bureau programs.
Provides technical assistance including collecting and disseminating FDOE priority information, to district coordinators and other applicable constituents on SCG (Stronger Connections Grant) related practices in statutes, rules, or policies, and related issues/topics as appropriate. Conducts training and provides professional learning sessions, as needed.
Collaborates with individuals within and outside of the department with expertise pertinent to the proposed projects related to the SCG program ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Ensures that statutes, rules, and other terms are enforced. Communicates effectively with state and district education administrators, analyzes data on SCG program, and maintains accurate records.
Plans, assists in coordinating, and formulates content for conferences, workshops, webinars, and meetings. Represents the FDOE and the Bureau at national, regional, state, and local committee meetings, conferences, and professional activities.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and one year of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
