Job Description:

The Graphics Specialist at Network Designs, Inc. will be responsible for performing high-quality graphic design work, including planning, layout, and illustration of technical or scientific materials in both black and white and color. This role involves interfacing with users to determine the scope of projects and selecting the best graphic medium for execution. The Graphics Specialist will execute graphic projects from inception to completion, coordinating and scheduling production either in-house or with external vendors as needed. Additionally, this position entails operating and setting up computer graphic systems and training others in their proper use. The ideal candidate will be familiar with a wide range of art media and commercially available graphics packages, demonstrating a keen ability to deliver compelling visuals that meet project objectives. This creative position reports to the relevant department manager and requires effective collaboration and communication skills to ensure project success.

Note: Position is contingent on contract award.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance as required by contract.
• This position is onsite at a DOJ location in Falls Church, VA.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field with 3 years' related experience or 5+ years' equivalent work experience.

• Portfolio demonstrating a wide range of design work, including technical and scientific illustrations.

• Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of projects.

• Proficiency in using graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and understanding of design principles.

• Excellent visual communication skills to translate complex information into accessible visual formats.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with clients and team members.

• Familiarity with printing processes and production, including working knowledge of file preparation and output specifications.

Familiarity with the following is a plus :

• Experience in technical or scientific illustration.
• Knowledge of web design principles and experience with multimedia design.
• Previous experience in a government contracting environment or working with government clients

Responsibilities

• Execute design projects, from concept through production, across various types of media, including digital and print.
• Interface with clients and team members to understand project requirements and objectives, ensuring designs meet or exceed expectations.
• Maintain and operate computer graphic systems, ensuring hardware and software are up to date and efficiently utilized.
• Train and support team members in the effective use of graphic design tools and software.
• Coordinate and schedule project production, including managing timelines and working with external vendors as needed.
• Ensure all graphic materials are consistent with organizational branding and communication standards.
• Monitor and report on project progress, adjusting workflows as necessary to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate graphic elements into multimedia campaigns.
