About the role:
The Graphic Designer & Digital Asset Manager is a key role responsible for shaping, producing, and maintaining the visual identity of The Contemporary Austin across platforms. This position ensures that the museum’s communications are visually compelling, consistent, and operationally efficient.
This role supports both strategic initiatives and day-to-day creative needs by producing a wide range of materials that promote exhibitions, education programs, and institutional priorities. The Graphic Designer & Digital Asset Manager works collaboratively across departments to translate ideas into effective visual communications that engage diverse audiences.
In addition to creative production, this role manages the museum’s digital asset library, ensuring assets are accessible, up-to-date, and aligned with current brand standards. The position plays an important role in supporting and contributing to the evolution of the museum’s visual identity, including recent brand refresh efforts.

CREATIVE CONCEPTING & DESIGN EXECUTION (50%)

Our communications team follows a hybrid schedule working in-office two days a week (or more if needed) and remotely for the rest of the week. Our in-office time is used primarily for team meetings and formal and informal collaboration. We office out of our Laguna Gloria location and occasionally travel to our downtown location, the Jones Center.
