Grill Cook

Duties

• Follow menu specifications and presentation standards to ensure quality and consistency


• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety regulations


• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new grilled items or improvements to existing recipes


• Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, well-maintained, and operational for efficient workflow


• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy service times


• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients needed for grilling and communicate shortages or needs to management


• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to provide a safe working environment

Experience

• Previous experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is advantageous


• Proven background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within restaurant or catering settings


• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry standards preferred


• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques required


• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures essential


• Fine dining or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating attention to detail and presentation skills


• Prior experience working in a kitchen environment involving food industry regulations and standards is highly desirable
