Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Table Grinder to join our production team. This role involves grinding, smoothing, and finishing metal parts and components to precise tolerances using grinding machines and tools mounted on a worktable. The ideal candidate demonstrates mechanical aptitude, shop safety awareness, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate table-mounted grinding equipment to remove excess material and ensure parts meet specifications
• Inspect workpieces and measure dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings
• Select appropriate grinding wheels, tools, and attachments for the task
• Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Adhere to all safety protocols and wear proper PPE
• Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and product quality
• Accurately document production activities and quality checks

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating grinding equipment or working in a machining or metal fabrication environment
• Familiarity with grinding machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
