Description

Summary: Inventories, stores, prices, and restocks merchandise displays in grocery store by performing the following duties.

• Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received.
• Stock groceries, dairy and frozen items in front of the correct price tags. If there is not a price tag you will be responsible for making the appropriate tag; putting new products in our scanning system which includes the operation of a falcon and basic computer understanding.
• Keep shelves stocked and rotated.
• Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.
• Cleans display cases, shelves, and isles.

Requirements

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. Wind, rain, lightning and hail. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The employee must be able to work in dairy cooler, frozen coolers and work in a very crowded environment.
