Grocery Clerk - Dedicated Cheese Slicer

• Provide outstanding customer service in a retail and counter-service environment

• Order, prepare, and stock items in the Cheese Department
• Demonstrate product knowledge
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly

• Grocery store, convenience, food service, or retail experience
• Demonstrated retail customer service experience and skills
• Familiarity with organic and natural foods
• Cheese cutting and wrapping experience
• Wine & Beer knowledge preferred but not required
• Attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform assigned tasks
• Ability to read and speak English and perform basic arithmetic

The Cheese Slicer's tasks could involve, but are not limited to ordering product, inventory maintenance, frequent and extended periods of time standing, cutting and wrapping cheese, preparing samples, and curating an abundant cheese bunker. Schedule tasks may also involve frequent periods of time working in walk in coolers.

This position requires a committed schedule which may include opening, mid-shift, and closing, and requires weekend and holiday shifts on a regular basis. This position requires a minimum of 36 hours worked per week.

Starting Wage: $14/hr
