Valley Natural Foods, a community-owned cooperative in Burnsville MN is looking for a dependable and upbeat Full-Time Center Store Customer Service team member to support our grocery department and provide outstanding service to our shoppers.

What You’ll Do:

· Keep our Center Store shelves stocked, clean, and well-faced.

· Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers looking for product recommendations or information.

· Rotate and check products for freshness, quality, and accurate labeling.

· Assist with unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, and setting up displays.

· Support the team with light cleaning, organizing, and maintaining department standards.

What We’re Looking For:

· A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent reliability—we depend on our Center Store team!

· Comfort working on your feet, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout your shift.

· Interest in natural foods, healthy living, or sustainable shopping is a plus.

· Previous grocery, retail, or customer service experience is helpful, but we’ll train the right person.

· Availability for afternoon and evening shifts, including at least one weekend shift each week.

Schedule & Hours:

· Full-time: Approximately 35–40 hours/week

· Primarily afternoon and evening shifts

· Includes at least one weekend shift per week

· Flexibility to pick up additional shifts is a plus!

Stocking, Special Orders and Customer Service

• Stock displays fully without overcrowding; face items on shelves
• Rotate older stock to front making space for new stock and rotate overstock into storage
• Pull short-date or low-quality items, notify buyer, and place in write off box
• Label unscanned items accurately with price tags or signs

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Able to multi-task and remain flexible to the changing needs of the business
• Regular, predictable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

• English proficiency
• Familiarity with MS Office and POS systems
• Previous customer service experience
• Familiarity with natural foods, grocery industry or cooperatives

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 30 pounds frequently; 30-50+ pounds occasionally
• Manual dexterity with ability to reach, grasp and utilize hands, wrists, and fingers for extended periods of time
• General range visual acuity to evaluate and interact in working environment for extended periods of time
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Regular exposure to working in refrigerated and frozen environments
• Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and bend occasionally required
