A hunter/jumper barn is seeking an experienced groom/rider in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position offers a combination of daily horse care and riding responsibilities, with the opportunity to travel to shows if interested.
Responsibilities:
Daily grooming, tacking, and general horse care
Light mucking and barn maintenance
Hacking and exercising horses
Feeding and assisting with daily barn routines
Opportunity to travel to horse shows if interested
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a hunter/jumper barn preferred
Strong knowledge of feeding, grooming, tacking, and general horse care
Comfortable hacking horses
Reliable, organized, and capable of working independently
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Position Details:
Location: Charlotte, NC
Start Date: November 1
Schedule: 6 days per week, approximately 8 AM–4 PM, with a lunch break
Compensation: Starting at $1,100 (pay period to be confirmed)
Housing: Private, two-bedroom luxury camper with an outdoor kitchen, provided on-site
