Grounds & Lawncare Technician

Reports To: Grounds Supervisor

Work Schedule: Daytime; evenings and weekends as needed

Amount of Travel Required: Minimal

The Grounds Team maintains the campus lawns, landscapes, sports fields, concrete, water features, etc. in a manner that reflects the highest levels of professionalism. This includes mowing, trimming, trash removal, trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, fertilizing, and general landscape maintenance. Must be very experienced in lawn care and landscape maintenance.

• Biweekly pay starting at $20 per hour 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Valid driver’s license
• Drug-Free
• Educational background in Horticulture, Turf science, Irrigation Repair or Landscape Maintenance. 
• Perform lawn care services, including fertilization, weed control, aeration, seeding, etc. 
• The ability to work independently and/or part of a team
• Provide a professional and creative service to improve the appearance of our campus
• Professional appearance
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Problem Solving      
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds (8-10) hours per day
• Able and willing to work in various weather conditions (8-10) hours per day
• Snow removal in the Winter
• Landscape bed maintenance, shrub trimming and tree trimming.
• Mowing 1 to 2 days per week with a zero-turn mower is possible.
• Willing to learn and be certified on a Bobcat skid steer.
• Ability to work well with others, take direction & be self-motivated.
• Positive attitude with good people skills
• Have pride in your workmanship, detail oriented
• Additional duties to be assigned by the Grounds Supervisor, Landscape Coordinator, or Director of Operations.
