Grounds Coordinator

The Grounds Coordinator supports Bethel Church of Redding’s mission to cultivate beauty, excellence, and hospitality across all our outdoor spaces. As well as hands-on landscaping work, the Grounds Coordinator ensures that landscaping projects are executed smoothly by helping manage logistics, supplies, and planning. In the absence of the Senior Groundskeeper, the Grounds Coordinator steps into a leadership role to maintain operational continuity and care standards across Bethel properties.

Position Type: Full-Time

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Salary: $24.00 to $26.00 Per Hour

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support daily grounds maintenance and landscaping projects across all Bethel properties
• Assist with team training and uphold standards of practice
• Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment
• Communicate regularly with the Senior Groundskeeper regarding team needs and project timelines
• Assist with planning and execution of seasonal projects and events (e.g., lighting, outdoor decor)
• Help monitor and maintain outdoor water features and irrigation systems
• Track inventory and assist with ordering supplies and coordinating repairs
• Attend and apply safety trainings and standards in all work areas
• Serve as acting team lead in the absence of the Senior Groundskeeper

Minimum Qualifications -

• Personal alignment with the vision and values of Bethel Church
• Current, valid driver’s license with a clean record
• At least 2 years of experience in groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, or a related field
• Physical ability to perform outdoor labor in a variety of weather conditions (lifting, bending, standing, etc.)
• Experience with standard landscaping tools and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Administrative skills, including organization and scheduling support
