Job Summary
We are seeking a Groundskeeper to join our team. In this role, you will trim trees and hedges, mow and manicure laws, maintain gardens, and keep pathways clean. Ultimately, your goal is to keep the facility’s surroundings beautiful and inviting. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with a strong understanding of lawn care and landscaping.
While a Ground Keeper supports general cleaning and maintenance, their primary duties and responsibilities go beyond maintaining grounds and include:
- Clearing rubbish, weeds, brush and debris on a property’s grounds
- Cleaning entrances, pool deck and upper decks
- Cleaning of common areas including railings, docks, pools, bathrooms, clubhouses, and walkways
- Watering all flowers and plants on the grounds
- Weeding, trimming, and mulching plants using gardening tools
- Cleaning the property’s grounds by removing rubbish and litter daily
- Taking care of all groundskeeping supplies, tools and inventory
- Ensuring the grounds are clean, safe and usable by owners and guests
- Removing dirt on sidewalks pavements and driveways
- Taking on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Groundskeeper, Landscaper, or other position is preferred
- High school diploma/GED is preferred
- Familiarity with landscaping equipment and machinery
- Understanding of sprinkler systems
- Knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, and gardening techniques
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods
- Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
