Job Description - Grounds Maintenance Technician

Location: Jacksonville, FL
Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-Time

Duties:

Mow, edge, and trim all grass within the cemetery grounds.
Maintain turf at specified heights using appropriate mowing equipment.
Perform regular inspections and maintenance of irrigation systems.
Ensure all clippings and debris are removed after mowing.
Assist with the planting and maintenance of flower beds and shrubs.
Clear pathways, curbs, and signage of debris.
Conduct regular checks for and repair any pest damage or sunken graves.
Participate in the setup and teardown of interment shelters and ceremonial flags.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
Ability to operate and maintain mowing and trimming equipment.
Knowledge of irrigation system maintenance.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cemetery grounds.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
Valid driver’s license.
