Groundskeeper Responsibilities Include:

• Plants and trims trees, shrubs, etc. as required and performs feeding of turf, trees, and shrubbery.
• Mulches, weeds, and waters beds, trees, flowers, shrubs, etc.
• Applies pesticides as required.
• Advises residents on layout and options of trees, bushes, etc.
• Assists with managing lawn care and landscaping contracts.
• Polices grounds daily for trash and debris; collects and removes trash and debris as needed.
• Performs snow removal and ice prevention tasks as directed.
• Performs hands-on work for indoor and outdoor building maintenance including electrical, HVAC, major equipment, life safety systems, and emergency systems under the direction of the Director. 
• Maintains availability during regular on call responsibilities (approximately every seventh weekend).

Requirements

Maintenance Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of grounds maintenance experience.
• Ability to operate equipment including power lawn mowers, sprayers, tractors, trucks, hand and power tools, etc.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Valid Driver’s License with at least 3 years of acceptable driving record required.
• General knowledge of electrical equipment, lighting, power distribution, ventilation, and air conditioning preferred.
