Groundskeeper

This position performs multiple tasks associated with facility cleaning and yard maintenance. Supports the Maintenance Team for keeping the grounds of the property in an attractive condition. Keep exterior, office areas, breakrooms and bathrooms thru the facility clean. Assist in other types of maintenance when necessary.

Essential Functions

· Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, breakrooms and office areas as needed

· · Removes trash and recyclables from the building

· Refills paper towel, toilet paper, and hand soap in all dispensers

· Pick up litter on grounds inside and out

· Assist in inventory control and upkeep of all grounds equipment and supplies.

· Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies

· Stock housekeeping supplies when delivered.

· Maintain the lawn to include mowing, weed eating, and flower beds

· Uses hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, hedge trimmers.

· Occasional manual removal of snow and ice from walkways

· Notify supervisor when trash compactor and roll off is full

· Organize and clean outside locations

· Maintains effective communication with manager and maintenance team

· Works in a safe manner in compliance with VPC safety processes and procedures.

· Must be able to climb up and climb downstairs and or a ladder from work location.

· Frequent reaching, bending and stooping is required for the job.

· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

· Other duties as assigned by management

· High school diploma or GED.

· Authorized to work in the United States

· Demonstrated good customer service skills - communication skills, positive interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

· At least 1 year previous experience.

Work Environment

· Regular exposure to moving mechanical components, airborne fumes, and particles

· Exposure to heat, cold, wet and snow conditions

· Moderate noise levels
