Groundskeeper

 The groundskeeper is expected to carry out assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner. The Groundskeeper will work with other Grounds personnel to maintain mowing, weed eating, landscaping, leaf removal, and all aspects of environmental maintenance.  

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

• Mowing and Lawn Care: Mowing lawns, trimming grass, edging walkways, and fertilizing.
• Weeding and Mulching: Removing weeds,mulching garden beds, and maintaining landscaping.
• Plant Care: Planting, watering, fertilizing, and pruning flowers, trees, shrubs, and other plants.
• Debris Removal: Raking leaves, removing litter and debris, emptying trash receptacles, and cleaning walkways and parking areas.
• Snow and Ice Removal: Shoveling snow and applying salt or sand to walkways and parking lots during winter.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools.
• Other duties as assigned 

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

· Adheres to Isaiah House policies and procedures.

· Attends mandatory monthly training/educational programs as required.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs):

• Clock in/out on property using the Paylocity App each day
• Consistently maintain injury and accident-free workplace 
• Always Wear Personal Protective Equipment  (i.e. Eye/ear protection, work boots, etc.)
• Complete all regular assigned duties on time 
• Update and ensure that the required logs are current and accurate each shift 
• Perform daily equipment checks and maintain safe and reliable performance 
• Adhere to the Isaiah House CHRIST Core values and contribute to a positive team culture
