| Job Summary: | The Groundskeeper performs semi-skilled work in the maintenance, care, and modification of school grounds and landscapes which includes the operation of electrically-powered and liquid fuel-powered grounds keeping equipment and machines, and the use of small hand and power tools or equipment in planting, cultivating, and trimming grounds and landscaping, and power washing, window cleaning, etc. The Groundskeeper also performs maintenance on grounds keeping equipment and tools, and makes minor repairs (within demonstrated capability) as directed. The Groundskeeper changes light bulbs, paints walls, woodwork, furniture, and equipment, makes minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs, delivers supplies, materials, and equipment as needed, retrieves and documents transfer of accountability of surplus property, provides custodial services, helps with fueling and cleaning of school fleet vehicles, etc. |

| Required Qualifications: | - Past experience as a groundskeeper or similar service industry role.
- Is in agreement with the Midland Christian School’s Statement of Faith and Vision.
- Can articulate the role he/she plays in helping MCS realize the school’s ideal graduate.
- Able to work outdoors and lift and carry grounds keeping supplies weighing up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to climb and properly operate a ladder.
