Group Facilitator

Description

Arbor Wellness is looking to hire a Group Facilitator to add to its team of professionals.

Arbor Wellness is a Joint Commission accredited residential mental health and co-occurring treatment program, providing detox and residential levels of care in Brentwood, TN. We are looking for a dynamic, caring, recovery-focused individual who can bring their clinical skills to the clients of our residential programs.

Requirements

Weekend day required. 

• Facilitate group counseling/therapy sessions and psychoeducational classes.
• Compose individualized group notes for each client and document in an electronic medical record. 
• Complete all required documentation within the TN Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and TJC standards and time frames.

Skills and Knowledge

• Must be able to accurately document client’s group participation.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Must have knowledge and ability to use counseling techniques to educate, elicit feelings, facilitate self-understanding and motivate the client.
• Ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with clients and staff.

Experience

• Must have group facilitation experience.
• Must have prior work experience in the mental health and substance use disorder treatment field.
• Bachelors Degree in psychology, social work or human services.
