Group Fitness Instructor

Description

Fircrest Golf Club is looking for Group Fitness ("Ex") Instructors to lead and instruct group fitness classes in a safe and effective manner for all levels of fitness.

Essential Functions / Initial Priorities

• Enthusiastically teach members specialized fitness genres (Pilates, yoga, CrossFit, etc.) during group classes
• Set up and teardown of equipment needed for instruction while adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Provide clear instructions and demonstrations of exercises, emphasizing proper technique and form
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and motivation among all class members
• Collaborate with fitness staff to facilitate classes in a manner that doesn’t interfere with general fitness use

Requirements

• Ability to teach early morning and late afternoon classes as scheduled with some on-call availability
• Verifiable experience teaching group fitness classes
• Certification in the fitness genres taught or equivalent fitness related degree

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• CPR/ARED and First Aid certification.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift 50 pounds.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
• Good attendance
