Group Home Manager - QP / Qualified Professional

Easterseals PORT Health, a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia is seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated fulltime Qualified Professional to lead a team of caregivers (internally called DSPs) as the Residential Group Home Manager. The team works diligently and with care to support the individuals living in the residential group home with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges in Snow Hill, NC.

What You’ll Do

As a Qualified Professional (QP) at our group home in beautiful Snow Hill, NC, you will provide supervision and oversight of services to individuals who have intellectual development disabilities (IDD). You will participate in the provision and development of structured care plans to individuals. Hiring, training and development, supervision and monitoring, compliance over staff and individuals served are essential components of this role. The QP ensures quality services that support individuals' health, safety, and welfare while collaborating with families and external entities. The Qualified Professional is accountable for adhering to policies, managing attendance, and completing required training.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

To join our team, you must have in-depth knowledge of different therapeutic approaches and group techniques as well as their practical application in a group home setting, be able to work independently, be adept at problem solving and de-escalation in times of crisis.

• We also require proof of Bachelor’s Degree from an approved accredited institution with a psychology or social work focus


• You must meet the qualifications for a NC mental health qualified professional


• A valid driver's license, a good driving record and current auto insurance
