Job Description - Group Lead - Kitting






Overview






This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day department workflow. Train associates in department tasks, procedures and systems. Identify and recommend solutions to departmental issues and/or customer concerns, set priorities in the department based on management direction. Cross train across departments and shifts.









Responsibilities






  • Works directly with management to plan and coordinate work activities and operations related to Receiving, Cycle Count, and Traffic as well as performing in back-up capacity in each department as necessary
  • Enforces safety programs, procedures, and ensures departmental readiness though conducting daily production meetings
  • Responsible to resolve all inventory issues or discrepancies resulting from cycle count or receiving activities (intransit report, frustrated freight, and quality control) through individual action or collaboration with management and/or offsite company resources
  • Communicates with Customer Service and other departments to process customer return, warranty, and quality control issues as necessary
  • Assists management and HR in training of new associates
  • All other duties as assigned








Qualifications






• H.S. graduate plus Associates degree or pursuing college degree in business or related field. Or, 5 years experience in distribution, management or related position
• Previous Warehouse experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to train others on general computer functions where needed. Well grounded in most LN applications relating to Distribution
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills
• Ability to effectively operate in a highly diverse changing environment
• Emphasis on professional continuous improvement
