Position Overview:

As a Group Lead/Manufacturing Technician, in our Sub-Assembly Harness department, you will provide the coordination for daily duties, work assignments to all team members, closely monitor the manufacturing progress, and provide support of assigned employees.

What your day may look like:

• Defining key production work steps, sequences, and durations and setting up work scope per station or per cell basis.
• Preparing Standardized work instructions.
• Coordinating work schedules in coordination with operational goals.
• Implementing manufacturing improvements, complex process changes, and technology changes.
• Providing critical process control guidance to production, maintenance, and quality control to improve the dimensional accuracy and overall quality of our products.
• Read Electrical Schematic Drawings.
• Manage and order production tools to meet production demand.
• Providing training and holding daily shop floor meetings.
• Supporting and resolving interdepartmental quality and production issues.
• Ensuring all safety measures are followed.

What will make you successful:

• 2 Years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
• Experience leading a diverse team in a production environment.
• A history of “hands-on” approach to problem solving and countermeasure implementation within own areas of responsibility.

We would be impressed if you had:

• 3 + years of experience in harness assembly production environment (e.g. rail, aviation/aerospace, naval, heavy equipment, etc.).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (Or Equivalent Experience)
• Work experience in the rail business, preferably in light rail, heavy rail, or related production, is needed.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar MRP / ERP systems is highly desired.
• Practical experience in Customer Service / Maintenance / After Market businesses and technologies within the rail industry Highly preferred.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The starting hourly range for this position is $22.29. This is a first shift position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
