Group Manager | Planning

We are seeking a leader who is passionate about quality and dedicated to fostering a coaching culture. As the Group Manager | Planning, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our Planning Group—both in-person and virtually—focusing on our State College, Lewisburg, Lehigh Valley, York, Harrisburg, and King of Prussia, PA offices. The Group Manager | Planning is a people-centric leader responsible for cultivating a coaching culture and ensuring high standards in project execution and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Leadership & Coaching: Inspire and coach group members to enhance our employee-owner culture and drive engagement in their professional development. 
• Project Management: Ensure timely and superior project delivery while collaborating across service groups. 
• Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term partnerships and satisfaction. 
• Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, prioritize workloads, and ensure fiscal responsibility. 
• Collaboration: Work closely with Operations and Service AVPs to address staffing, resource allocation, and operational efficiency. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Public Policy, Community Planning, Urban Planning, or related degree  
• Minimum of 7 years of varied planning experience with proven experience in project management and delivering projects on time and within budget
• Appropriate licensure or certification preferred 
• Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative teams, with a strong emphasis on coaching, mentoring, and fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization virtually, by telephone, or in-person 
• Experience in client relations, proposal preparation, project budgeting, and public presentations 
• Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, planning and organizational skills  
• Effective utilization of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, project management systems, etc. 
• Ability to travel, including occasional overnight trips (averaging 20-30%), with a valid driver’s license required 
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
