Job Description - Group Sales Coordinator


Starting wage: $26.63/hr

Responsibilities



  • Assist with schedules, booking and implementation of group sales events. 

  • Assist with Initiating Proposals & Contracts as directed

  • Monitor and observe guest’s experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. 

  • Be knowledgeable and able to answer questions about out F&B offerings and services of the banquet department.

  • Conduct pre-meal meetings with the F&B team.

  • Assign tasks to F&B staff as it pertains to the Groups Sales Event

  • Check the set-up & operation of the event space, and other areas as needed.

  • Maintain a pleasant atmosphere in all events

  • Maintain safety standards.

  • Ensure that all items on banquet event orders are executed as promised to our client 

  • Maintain clean facilities and service areas.

  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.

  • Helps perform site tours to prospective clients.

  • Coordinates and follows up with food and beverage services or any other casino department to ensure accurate delivery of promised services.

  • Document activities prior to and after Sales contracts for internal and external communication and evaluation.

  • Communicate all Group Sales activities and processes to other departments as needed.

  • Ensures group contract information is recorded in proper databases.

  • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments.

  • Experience of working within a demanding fast-paced environment to very high standards.

  • Responsible for coordinating marketing materials needed to support all events.

  • Prepare, maintain and distribute the master Group Sales events calendar.

  • Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record, including working nights, weekends and holidays as required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications



  • Exceptional guest service skills required.

  • At least two years’ experience in customer service or sales position

  • Previous experience in hospitality preferred.

  • Position requires a highly energetic person with a positive attitude that is driven, creative and resourceful in achieving results.

  • Able to both multi-task and handle change.

  • Calm individual who can operate under pressure, deadlines, and demands of the business.

  • Knowledge of a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

  • Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentially with strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.

  • Proven intermediate skills in Windows XP, MS Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and experience with sales database systems strongly preferred. Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, charts, forms and other information and instructions.


Certificates, Licenses, Regulations



  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.



Physical Demands and Work Environment


Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
