Position Title: Groups Coordinator
Department: Spiritual Formation

Reports To: Campus Pastor of assigned campus
Position Purpose:
The purpose of the Groups Coordinator role at Journey Church is to help support, coordinate and facilitate all aspects of Groups Ministry and Groups related events, to cultivate authentic relationships within a community, where people are being transformed to live and love like Jesus.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high level leadership and direction to group leaders and coaches
Manage the day-to-day functions and integration of groups
Oversee, coordinate, and implement plans for recruiting new leaders and coaches, leadership development and leader retention to sustain growth in all lanes.
Lead and execute the planning of Groups events specific to your campus, including pre-event planning, set up/take down, registration and other assigned duties
Coordinate with the Central Groups Associate Coordinator to ensure that all Groups materials for launch are available for semester launches. (banners, leader training manuals, etc.)
During Groups Launch, manage Groups lobby presence, advising and equipping Group Leaders and providing vision, training, and leadership around Groups launch.
Provide regular communication to Group Lane Leaders, Coaches, and Group Leaders-supplying them with encouragement and direction.
Facilitate and/or oversee Group Leader and Coaches Trainings, interviews, and leader onboarding processes.
Assist the Campus Pastor in strengthening the culture and model of Groups, while being its strongest advocate.
Partner with Group Leaders on pastoral care needs within their groups and work with the Campus Pastor to ensure proper care and attention is given.
Coordinate with the Central Groups Associate Coordinator on workflows for people who fill out connect cards for Groups information.
Meet with Group Leaders over coffee and/or lunches in order to build, grow, and recruit Coaches and Group Leaders with a goal of increasing each of the Group Lanes at your campus.
Assist with the execution of all ministry events, such as Marriage, Men's, Women's and Freedom Conferences.
Assume responsibility for tasks beyond defined job description as assigned by direct supervisor.
Monitor and report monthly defined measurables on the Groups Reporting Dashboard.
Maintain Groups budgets for campus as directed by the Central Groups Director.
Follow accounting procedures and manage groups paperwork for accounting purposes as needed.
Participate as either a Coach or Group Leader each semester.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
Sunday Responsibilities:
Arrive early to ensure set up for ministry areas at the campus.
Serve on the "last man standing" rotation to ensure the campus is locked and secured
Lead Dream Team Huddles as requested by the Campus Pastor
Qualifications / Experience:
Experience working in Ministry is preferred but not required
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
Degree in Biblical Studies is helpful
Experience serving/leading in a church setting
Experience mentoring or leading others to Christ
Team player
Passion for seeing lives transformed through community
High-capacity extrovert who is committed to investing in lay leaders
Ability to multi-task in a high paced ministry environment
Attention to detail

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the supervision of the Journey Groups Dream Team members, to include Group Leaders, Group Coaches and Group Lane Leads.
