Groups Multiplication Ministry Leader

The role of Groups Multiplication Ministry Leader is to realize the vision of the Groups Pastor by maximizing the impact and care of groups ministry staff, leader volunteers, and implementation of administration and events for groups within the church. 

Personal Responsibilities

· Be committed to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18; 1 Peter 2:2) by assembling for instruction in God’s Word and engaging in the personal study of God’s Word. 

· Responsibly use the resources at your disposal to foster the mission and vision of Abundant Life (1 Peter 5:1-4).

· Participate in an Abundant Life group (Acts 2:41-42) as well as the discipleship ministry (Matthew 28:18-20).

· Live in a way that glorifies God and aligns with the staff core values (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9).

· Be committed to giving to the needs of the saints (2 Corinthians 8:1-7 & 9:12).

· Become a member of Abundant Life.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

· Lead, shepherd and multiply the spiritual health and engagement of groups.

· Foster and solicit new ideas to multiply the groups ministry.

· Oversee the vision and volunteer execution of Group Meetings, Events, and Administration.

· Recruit, train, and deploy new group coordinators and coaches to meet the demands of expanding group leadership.

· Empower groups leaders and coaches to execute the various care and logistical components related to the operation of ministry.

· Lead volunteers in the areas of program communication and logistics of Quarterly Breakfasts and Groups Fair.

· Represent and oversee the media needs of Groups Ministry to the Marketing/Communications teams, as well as the volunteer leadership teams.

· Train groups of volunteers and leaders on how to best facilitate Group Meetings and Events.

· Manage employees to a system, oversee budgets alongside groups pastor, & work for consistency with other departments.

· Facilitate a healthy culture of feedback within the Groups Ministry.

· Regularly attend all team, staff, and leadership meetings as requested.

· Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

This position demands excellent leadership and communication skills. Success in this role will involve a task-oriented and relational leader that can inspire employees and volunteers to work together to accomplish a united vision. The Groups Multiplication Ministry Leader needs to have the ability to develop leadership skills within the volunteers under their supervision to create a pipeline of future leaders that can have areas of ministry released to them. A high level of organization will be needed to coordinate related events and mobilize volunteers.

Education & Experience

- Three years in a ministry leadership role are required.

- A college degree is recommended.
