Groups Pastor - Forney

Who you are: 

You are passionate about the church and helping people find freedom through biblical community. You find life seeing others step into greater leadership. You are driven by a hunger to see men and women take the next step in their discipleship journey.  You’re comfortable calling those around you into more. You enjoy casting vision for and inviting others into community. You enjoy leading and implementing initiatives. What you'll do: 

• Develop and shepherd a leadership team that gives oversight to Group Leaders 


• Identify and invest in Life Group Leaders


• Give leadership to the launch of Rooted Groups, a new and critical part of the discipleship strategy at Lakepointe


• Be a culture carrier at the Forney Campus for the importance of living and engaging in biblical community through Life Groups 


• Assimilate men and women into Rooted Groups and Life Groups 


• Actively engage in monthly All-Staff meetings and worship 


• Provide pastoral and leadership direction to adults at the Forney Campus 


• Participate and lead in campus-wide initiatives and events

Skills & Experience you’ve had:

• Experience leading a volunteer team of high capacity leaders


• Ability to recruit and develop potential leaders 


• Comfortable calling people to take a next step in leadership and engagement 


• Experience shepherding a wide demographic of people in spiritual conversations from a strong biblical knowledge 


• Teachable spirit, humble - pursuing feedback and coaching 


• BA or BS preferred
