Job Description - Guest Services Coordinator

Description

The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is the Catholic Church in Northeast Kansas: Growing as Disciples of Jesus; Making Disciples for Jesus. The Savior Pastoral and Retreat Center is seeking a Guest Services Coordinator. This position is the first point of contact for all guests and visitors at the Savior Pastoral Center. The Guest Services Coordinator helps with group reservations, oversees set-ups for events and maintains the front lobby desk area. This position is full-time, and will average 40 hours per week. This position is onsite with work completed in the office. The schedule for this position will require routine (weekly) Saturday hours.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of  contact for all guests and visitors.
  • Answer phone calls, provide information,  and direct inquiries to appropriate departments or staff.
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Assist with group reservations, including facility tours, scheduling, processing requests, and ensuring accurate details are captured.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow direction, work independently and as part of the team.
  • Ability to learn new software systems.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Links mission, vision, values,  goals and strategies to everyday work.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.  
  • A minimum of three (3) years of administrative, front desk, office, or equivalent experience in a  professional office environment is preferred. 
  • Spanish-speaking/bilingual is  strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word required, Excel is a strong plus. 
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred.
