Job Description - Hacienda Ford- HR Payroll Clerk

Description

Summary:

The HR Payroll Clerk is primarily responsible for managing payroll processes and ensuring timely and accurate payroll operations. This role also provides general HR support, including employee record management, benefits administration, and employee relations.

 

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Human Resources Director

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee attendance, overtime, and leave balances.
  • Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll funding and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Onboard new employees into the payroll system, including setting up direct deposits and tax forms.
  • Administer and manage employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Provide support in employee relations programs and events.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS.
  • Support the HR team with other administrative tasks as needed.

Salary Range:
$24,000 - $29,120 paid at an hourly rate

  

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Spanish & English is REQUIRED.
  • 1+ years of experience in payroll administration or HR.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing payroll data.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in payroll software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HRIS and HCM systems (e.g., Paycor, ADP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
