Evara Beach Spa, Fort Lauderdale, is a high-end beauty salon that prides itself on providing exceptional hair services and treatments to our clients. We are seeking a creative and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team and deliver the ultimate beauty experience.
Summary:
· Experienced Hairstylist with at least 5 years or more experience in an upscale hair salon at Evara Beach Spa. Preferably have a client base.
· Must have a cosmetology license and 5 years minimum experience. We also have a continuing education program available. A following is preferred.
Hair Stylist Job Responsibilities:
· A hairstylist serves customers by preparing, conditioning, and styling hair.
Hair Stylist Job Duties:
· Prepares hair for styling by analyzing hair condition and shampooing and treating hair.
· Conditions hair and scalp by applying treatments.
· Plans the desired effect by studying facial features, examining potential styles, conferring with the customer, and making recommendations.
· Produces the desired effect by arranging, shaping, curling, cutting, trimming, setting, bleaching, dyeing, and tinting hair.
· Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
· Maintains safe and healthy conditions by following organization standards and legal regulations.
· Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Maintains supplies by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
· Attends monthly training
Skills/Qualifications:
· Valid state cosmetology or barber license.
· Proven experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Colorist, or similar role in a professional salon environment.
· Proficiency with hot irons, curlers, and blow-dryers.
· A good understanding of hair treatments and chemicals
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
· Strong creative skills and attention to detail.
· Strong attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in hair cutting, coloring, and styling.
· Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for skillfully handling various hair tools, such as scissors, brushes, and curling irons.
Work Schedule
Full-time and part-time positions are available. Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Demands
· Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting.
