Handyman (Maintenance Technician)

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Compensation: $23-$25 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: 8:00a-4:30p (FT is Sun-Thurs, PT TBD)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements to ensure our community remains safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.)


• Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner


• Conduct routine inspections of units and common areas


• Prepare vacant units for new tenants (turnovers)


• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory


• Ensure compliance with safety standards and property policies


• Assist with preventative maintenance schedules

Qualifications

• Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman work (1–3+ years preferred)


• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair


• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve efficiently


• Strong time management and organizational skills


• Good communication and customer service skills


• Valid driver’s license


• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks

Preferred Skills

• Experience in apartment or property maintenance


• Basic computer or mobile app skills for work order systems

Employment Requirements 

• Proof of eligibility to work in the US


• Fingerprint clearance from the FBI & DOJ


• Physical & TB clearance 


• COVID vaccinations preferred
