Overview

Ace Handyman Services is seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to perform a wide range of repair, maintenance, and light construction tasks for residential customers in Rapid City, SD.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. You will handle everything from minor repairs and punch lists to shed builds, exterior repairs, and small remodel projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform general home repairs including doors, drywall, trim, and hardware
• Install fixtures such as ceiling fans, light fixtures, faucets, and toilets
• Complete basic plumbing and electrical work (non-licensed tasks)
• Repair decks, fences, and exterior trim
• Assist with shed construction and installation
• Diagnose issues and recommend effective repair solutions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Communicate professionally with customers
• Track materials used and report job progress accurately

• Minimum 5 years of construction experience
• Good driving record
• Reliable vehicle
• Working knowledge of carpentry, drywall, light plumbing, and light electrical
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Own basic hand tools (power tools preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
