Job Description - Handyman Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Handyman Supervisor to oversee maintenance and repair operations across our properties/projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on repair experience, and the ability to manage a team of handymen while ensuring quality work and timely completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of handymen and assign daily work orders.

Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with safety standards.

Perform a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, drywall).

Coordinate with property managers or clients regarding maintenance needs and schedules.

Monitor inventory of tools and supplies; request orders as needed.

Train and mentor new maintenance staff.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot urgent repair issues.

Maintain records of work performed, time, and materials used.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a handyman and supervisor or similar leadership role.

Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and tools.

Ability to diagnose problems and determine effective solutions.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoors/outdoors).

[Optional] Certification in relevant trades (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of general maintenance or handyman experience.

2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
