Overview

Goodsmith is seeking a dependable and skilled Handyman/Carpenter to support the maintenance and care of high-end custom homes throughout the Houston area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and consistently delivers high-quality, detail-oriented results.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in residential maintenance and home repair, communicates professionally with homeowners, and maintains a high standard of workmanship while representing the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform general home repairs including drywall patching, caulking, hardware replacement, and minor carpentry.
• Complete light to moderate interior and exterior painting projects.
• Conduct routine home maintenance tasks such as replacing HVAC filters, light bulbs, and smoke detector batteries.
• Perform annual home care services including pressure washing, window cleaning, and seasonal maintenance projects.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and office staff to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and represent the company with professionalism and respect.

• 5+ years of residential maintenance or handyman experience.
• Skilled in general home repair and painting with strong attention to finish quality.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills, with respect for working in private residences.
• Must be willing to undergo a full drug screening and FBI background check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
