Manage clinic syringe exchange services under supervision of Harm Reduction administrator
Maintain state requirements for SES to remain operational and in good standing with UDOH
Conduct syringe exchange encounters with participants and track necessary information, including: materials distributed, education provided, and referrals made
Provide harm reduction education to patients and SES participants
Communicate with other staff involved with harm reduction to ensure consistency and quality of services, coverage during operating hours, appropriate reporting, safety, etc.
Train other clinic staff on harm reduction in collaboration with MA and front desk teams
Rapid HCV and HIV Testing:
Conduct rapid HCV and HIV testing, education, and results counseling with patients in clinic as needed
Communicate results to provider/medical assistant teams
Maintain rapid testing compliance through records keeping, temperature logs, and running controls
Report testing events to online databases (REDCap, clinic tracker, Kareo)
Order inventory through NASEN, Amazon, UDOH, and OH Procurement dept.
Update and monitor clinic HR and grant budgets
Assemble kits for participants and coordinate with volunteers to assist
Manage existing clinic relationships and supply of naloxone through reporting and communication with Utah Naloxone and UDOH
Certifications to pursue within 6 months of hire:
Utah Naloxone Trainer Training
Requirements
Preferred Bachelor Degree plus additional business/office training management preferred
Must maintain a drug free lifestyle and submit to drug testing (must test negative for federally illegal substances) as per Odyssey House policies
Must be able to take and pass a criminal background check
Must be able to complete all new hire requirements and trainings
Ability to maintain clear and consistent professional boundaries with clients
Excellent attendance record
Must agree to employment eligibility requirements including all vaccination requirements (flu, COVID-19 immunizations and vaccinations and TB testing)
