Job Description - Hatchery Support Coordinator

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

All data entry for egg sets, egg movements, chick hatch, and chick placement
Piece-rate payroll
Make sets 4 days per week
Hatchery supply orders (I think Marie does parts ordering as well)
Schedule chick delivery weekly
Make vaccine sheet weekly
Maintain vaccine inventory
Maintain Animal Welfare documentation
Maintain budget tracking

Chicks

Take and place calls to growers regarding chick placements and deliver times. Schedule chick deliver loads from placement sheet from broiler department. Bill chicks and complete mortality charts for growers. Call growers when chicks leave the hatcher. Enter all chicks hatched, chicks delivered, etc. into SAP and run reports and check for accuracy pertaining to same. Record and maintain records regarding Hatch %, HOF %, both by flock and day/week. Calculate and record cull chicks and transfer cracks. Record hick mortality. Assure that all paperwork is completed and assembled into notebook for Animal Welfare Compliance.

Eggs:

Take and place calls to Breeder Growers regarding egg ick-up schedule and buggy and supply deliveries. Enter egg tickets into SAP, and send to Breeder Settlement Clerk for grower payments. Maintain accurate Hatching Egg Inventory and report weekly to Breeder Manager. Schedule Egg Sets for Contract Crew. Enter sets into SAP. Report eggs transferred to Zoetis for monthly invoicing of Inovoject Processing.
