Education and Experience Requirements

Job Description

1. Under direction of Manager, Supervisor, or Hazardous Materials Lead conduct collection and movement of hazardous waste for disposal using provided tools (e.g., carts, forklift, pallet jacks, drum dolly/truck) .
2. Under direction of Manager, Supervisor, or Hazardous Materials Lead conduct delivery of hazardous materials using provided tools (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, drum dolly/truck) .
3. Under direction of Manager, Supervisor, or Hazardous Materials Lead assist with waste shipments .
4. Communicates with Manager, Supervisor or Hazardous Materials Lead to identify safety concerns and hazardous material/waste documentation, handling, storage, and disposal requirements .
5. Identify operational improvements and work with Manager, Supervisor or Hazardous Materials Lead to initiate corrective action .
6. Assist in maintaining accurate records of treatment processes, materials, quantities and test results .
7. Ensures prompt and responsive customer service for applicable hazardous material processes supporting operations .
8. Receives stores, distributes and disposes of chemicals controlled or regulated by the Hazardous Materials department as prescribed by federal, state and company regulations .
9. Complies with Federal, state local or company regulations/requirements for transportation, temporary storage, treatment, reclamation, and shipment of hazardous waste .
10. Performs inspections of all waste Satellite Accumulation Areas, as required.
11. Assists in training/retraining of new personnel .
12. Monitors the receiving, stocking and disbursements of hazardous materials ensuring that all records, inspections and system transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner .
13. Directs fellow employees on proper hazardous waste/material handling .
14. Assist in other required. regulatory inspections (e.g., SPCC inspections) to ensure compliance with legal and other requirements .
15. Maintain a current knowledge of Federal, State, and Corporate environmental regulations and procedures .
16. Maintain training credentials on hazardous waste storage and disposal procedures .

1. Perform emergency spill response for all facilities. .

1. Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Corporate environmental regulations.
2. Basic math skills are required.
3. Knowledge of procedures for the handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
