Head Accountant (Cyprus, Larnaca)

A privately held global company specializing in AI-powered home and perimeter security is looking for a Head Accountant to join its team.

Founded in 2018 in Larnaca, Cyprus, the company offers edge-based video analytics devices that enhance standard IP security cameras with intelligent object detection and real-time alerts — all without subscription fees or cloud storage.

The company primarily serves clients across North America. The mission of the company is to help people monitor their homes and businesses, and take the necessary preventative actions to keep them safe and secure.

You are offered an on-site position in a comfortable office in Larnaca, Cyprus

Your tasks on the position:

• Acting as the sole accountant responsible for the full accounting cycle of the company
• Communicating and coordinating with Cypriot government authorities (e.g., tax office, social insurance, registrar)
• Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, VAT returns, payroll, and other statutory filings
• Leading the implementation of a new ERP system; evaluate options and oversee migration from QuickBooks
• Maintaining and improving internal accounting policies and procedures
• Providing financial insights and reports to management for decision-making

• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in Cyprus
• Strong knowledge of Cypriot accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting practices
• Experience working directly with Cypriot government bodies
• Recognized accounting certifications (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA)
• Greek C1+
• English B2+

Will be an advantage:

• Experience with global or European ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics)
• Background in accounting for manufacturing or product-based companies
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment
